Latest News from Pollock’s Toy Museum

Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out and supported Pollock’s Toy Museum since the collection had to move out of it’s former home in Scala Street. The wonderful news is that you can visit two exciting mini Pollock’s Toy Museums in 2025. The museum is thriving and we are currently working towards securing a permanent home. Items from the collection are regularly being loaned to other museums and galleries for the enjoyment of all.
Pollock’s Toy Museum Croydon is open every Saturday in 2025 and the latest exhibition about board games . The Croydon museum also hosts a display of traditional toy theatres and a regularly changing selection of favourite toys from the collection. You can also enjoy regular performances and workshops for all the family.
The display and shop at Pollock’s Toy Museum Leadenhall Market in The City of London is open Thursdays and Fridays in 2025.
We would like to thank everyone at Leadenhall Market and our ever-growing crowd of supporters in Croydon who have helped and championed Pollock’s Toy Museum in the last year.
If you would be interested in volunteering at either venue, including performing toy theatre shows please see the museum volunteering page for more information.
Long term, Pollock’s Toy Museum Trust continues to seek a secure future for the museum and collection, in a central London location that will preserve its character while providing more space. For this, initial funding will be needed. The team is currently comprised entirely of volunteers. In the short term, we have collection care expenses to cover and limited resources, so donations at any level are very welcome.
Pollock’s Toy Museum’s online shop is open selling a range of toy theatres and other treats. Support for this from your purchases and participation will help the museum grow. (Please note that there is also the small shop, and separate business, in Covent Garden called Benjamin Pollock’s Toyshop. Since the 1980s this has been a completely separate entity from the original museum, shop and charity. They remain open and providing a range of toy theatres.)
